We would like to welcome Hyebin Park, a masters student in Harvard Medical School's Master of Science Immunology program. Hyebin received her Bachelors of Arts in Biological Sciences and Psychology from the University of Chicago. Hyebin will work on developing autologous T cell immunotherapies.
We would like to welcome Leon Wert-Lamas PhD, a new postdoctoral fellow who is joining the lab from Institute for Biomedical Research “Alberto Sols“ (Madrid, Spain), where he studied the effects of deregulated non-coding RNAs on thyroid cancer progression and dedifferentiation. Specifically, he evaluated the role of non-coding RNAs in thyroid iodide-metabolizing genes, epithelial-mesenchymal transition and PI3K pathway passenger events. Leon will work on the biological discovery and therapeutic applications of lncRNAs. In 2017, the Novina lab was tremendously successful in placing postdocs and graduate in high level positions in academia and industry. We would like to congratulate:
